Coronaviruses are a type of virus which there are many different kinds. Recently a newly identified corona virus has emerged and has caused a worldwide pandemic of respiratory illness known as covid-19. To conclude that you have this virus you must present symptoms like cough, fever, shortness of breath, muscle aches, sore throat, unexplained loss of taste or smell, diarrhea and headache. COVID-19 can be really severe, and can caused death. The main source to get this virus is from person to person. You could get it by having contact with saliva from someone who has this virus or by touching your mouth, eyes and nose when you been in contact from the virus. This virus emerged in Wuhan, China in 2019 .
Pandemic is when a new virus emerges and begins to have contact with people. Since it’s a new virus people have no to little pre-existing immunity against the new virus and therefore it spreads worldwide. Anatomy is the branch of science that’s involved with bodily structure of humans, animals, and other living organisms. The Coronaviruse anatomy would be a group of related RNA viruses that cause diseases in mammals and birds. In humans, these viruses cause respiratory tract infections that can lead to death. Viruses are named based on how their genetic structure to facilitate the development of diagnostic tests and vaccines/medicine. The scientific community do this work, so viruses are named by the “International Committee on Taxonomy of Viruses.” The name COVID-19, stands for 'corona,' 'VI' for 'virus,' and 'D' for disease. The corona virus has impacted so many lives and not in a good way. Many people are dying and their family members are losing their love ones. As for me personally the corona virus hasn’t taken any family members but it did take away my last year or high school. I’ve lost the chance of experiencing a normal senior year in high school and therefore it has brought me to a little bit of depression and sadness. Our world has changed so much because of this new virus that has emerged. We still don’t know how to fight it since we still don’t have a vaccine and many people are dying because it’s spreading every day more and more even if we’re fighting it. |
